MUESLI has been a breakfast choice for a very long time  *  I like to carry it when hiking for an energy boost  *  some people bring it along when traveling or out shopping for an extended period  *  To make a serving of MUESLI from scratch I like to roast 2 Tbsp of rolled oats for some extra flavor  *  Place the rolled oats in a skillet and roast over medium heat for about two minutes  *  remove and place in a small bowl  *  add 2 Tbsp of slivered roasted almonds  *  add 1 tsp of raisins  *  add 2 Tbsp dried blueberries to complement the other dried fruit  *  This may be all you need to have a satisfying and flavorful MUESLI  *  It can also be taken with a liquid such as milk and eaten like a cereal if desired  *  Sometimes I add a pinch of salt to the mix to bring out the flavor of the almonds  *  This is the simplest way I know of how to make the mix  *  Other nuts or seeds or dark chocolate chips may be experimented with – but I will always favor a simple HIKER’S MUESLI
