I like to make a big batch of it so that I can spoon some over yogurt  *  The recipe calls for 1/2 cup of honey – whenever honey is used, I like to warm it first by placing 2 tsp of water in a pan, then the half cup of honey and then reducing it to a thick liquid  –  I find it easier to evenly distribute among the other ingredients  *  To begin we must preheat the oven to 325F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper  *  Next we need a mixing bowl for 3 cups of rolled oats, 1 cup of shelled sunflower seed, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 cup oil, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/2 cup of liquified honey  *  Combine the above ingredients and distribute on a baking sheet  *  toast in the oven for 30 minutes and stir every 10 minutes until evenly browned  *  Remove from the oven and cool  *  Return the browned mixture to the mixing bowl and add 1/4 cup of dried apples, 1/4 cup of dried cranberries and 1/4 cup of raisins  *  mix it about and place in an air tight container for refrigeration  *  Once chilled it is ready to be served
